Lemongrass Floral Water (Hydroflorate or Hydrosol) are extremely versatile. They can be added to your creams and lotions at 30% - 50% in the water phase, or in an aromatic face or body spritz. They are an excellent addition to linen sprays and a simple way for the novice aromatherapist to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of essential oils. They may also be added to make a fragrant and soothing hot bath.

Floral waters, also known as hydroflorates and hydrosols, are similar to essential oils but much more mild. During the steam distillation process of essential oils the water that is used to steam the raw material is drawn off and collected. This water and contains the therapeutic benefits and lovely scent of the original material and this is what our floral waters are comprised of.

Lemongrass water is lovely to incorporate in lip balms, lotions, creams, cosmetic formulations, soaps, and personal care formulations.

Floral Waters can be added to the manufacturing process in place of normal water, used as a deodorant, facial spritzer, for direct application to the skin, as a cooling agent, in saunas, in hair care applications, as a fragrance or for massage.

Keep the soap dry between uses to extend its life. Do not leave it sitting in water.

Neem Oil

About 75% of Ayurvedic remedies contain some form of neem! Indians call the sacred neem tree "the village pharmacy", and have limitless faith in its abilities.
Neem oil is pressed out of the seeds obtained from neem trees. In addition to its use as an organic insecticide spray, it has been used medicinally and in the cosmetics industry.
Neem oil is used on humans, on animals, and on plants, for a huge range of different problems.
How to use 100% pure cold-pressed Neem Oil:
Recommended ratio for making spray solution: mix 1 teaspoon pure neem oil in a quart of warm water and 1/4 tsp. castile soap. Shake it well to mix properly. Quantity of neem oil can be increased proportionately for making spray in larger quantities.
Here is some ways to use Neem oil below. Remember: to keep your dilution of Neem oil to about 2 - 5% of any mixture that you apply directly onto your skin. Some of the recipes below use higher percentages - but keep a lookout for any skin irritation.
Cuts, wounds, minor skin disorders and mosquito and insect repellant. Mix with a carrier oil in a ratio of 1:5 and apply to affected area.
Athlete’s foot. Add 15 ml to warm water and soak the feet in this preparation.
Head lice. Mix 50/50 with a carrier oil and massage into the hair and scalp. Leave on for 1 hour and shampoo. Repeat once weekly for 3 weeks or as long as the problem persists.
Stop mosquitoes breeding. Spray or pour oil on all breeding areas. The oil can be emulsified (to mix with water) by adding Castile or any natural liquid soap.
Plant protection. Add 30 ml to 1 liter of water and add 1 ml of castile or any natural soap. Mix well and spray immediately for plant protection. Do not store the mixture; make fresh formulation for each spray. Spray the mixture on top of all the leaves and on the undersides where insects often hide – you can also spray it around the roots.
Lamp oil to ward off mosquitoes. Add 5 – 10% oil to any lamp oil and burn lamp normally.
Dandruff and itchy scalp. Add a few drops to your regular shampoo.
Ticks and fleas on animals. Add a few drops to your normal pet shampoo (ratio should be 30 ml (1 oz.) to 240 ml (8 oz.) shampoo). Personally we have found that plain castile soap works the best.
Warts. Apply 1 drop of undiluted oil directly on warts once per day. Watch carefully for any possible irritation, and should that occur discontinue use. Continue for 2-3 weeks.
Psoriasis, cold sores, eczema, athletes foot, skin ulcers and other fungal skin conditions. Mix 1 tablespoon (15 ml) with 4 ounces (120 ml) carrier oil such as jojoba or grape seed oil and apply twice a day to affected skin. Should skin irritation occur, discontinue use, or make mixture with less Neem oil.
Pet and livestock spray for ticks, fleas, mange mites and other pests. Mix 1 ounce (30 ml) oil with 1 gallon (3.8 liter) water and add a few drops of Castile Soap (to emulsify the oil). Place mixture into a spray bottle or other type of sprayer, and spray animals once every two weeks. (This mixture can be used on indoor and outdoor plants as well as flowers and vegetables.)
Cleaning the house. Add to carpet shampoos and spray mattresses to kill dust mites.
Hand wash. Add a couple of drops to liquid hand soap for antibacterial properties.
FOR ALL THE ABOVE. As Neem oil has a rather strong smell you might want to add a few drops of essential oil to any mixture to mask the smell. Lavender or lemongrass essential oils work well – but you could add your personal favorite. Store neem oil in a cool dark place, away from sunlight. In case neem oil solidifies due to low temperatures, put the bottle in warm water (below 95 degree F) to liquefy. Putting the bottle in very hot water may reduce the effectiveness of oil.

• The carnosic acid content of the Rosemary antioxidant is about 7 – 7.5%.

• Only short-time mixing is needed when used.

• Recommended usage: 0.02 - 0.10%. • When using, this product can be added directly into the liquid products, or be sprayed, immersed, rolled or injected into the powder products after diluted with some oil.

• It should be used up within 2 months, once the container is opened. It will last 18 months if sealed and stored under proper conditions.

• Compounding procedures: When using, mix well with the other product. It will not be effective when used in products with a pH value higher than 8.5. It should not be in contact with iron, copper and other metals at room temperature, and prohibit contact with metals at high temperature.

An evergreen shrub with numerous branches, Rosemary has ash-colored scaly bark and leathery, thick leaves, which are lustrous and dark green above, and white underneath. Its name means, dew of the sea (This is because rosemary naturally grows near the Mediterranean Sea).

Rosemary Essential Oil as one of the most broadly used plants throughout the ages. It still can be used for numerous applications including stimulating hair growth due loss due to aging and restoring mental alertness when experiencing fatigue.

Rosemary Tunisia Essential Oil is credited as having stimulating and warming actions and can be used in numerous skin care products. Ascophyllum nodosum - a brown seaweed commonly known as knotted, knobbed or bladder wrack, or kelp - is one of many species which form part of the botanical order or algae.

The Tea Tree is a small tree or shrub with needle-like leaves. It is also domestically referred to as Ti-tree. One of the most well known uses of tea tree oil is in acne treatment. In fact, a five percent solution of tea tree oil has been shown to be as effective as a five percent solution of the common acne treatment product known as benzoyl peroxide, according to the Mayo Clinic. Tea tree oil works on acne by reducing the population of the acne-related bacteria Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes). P. acnes is partially responsible for the inflammation and infection that results in more serious forms of inflammatory acne.

Dandruff
Dandruff is another skin condition that can benefit from the use of tea tree oil. One common possible cause of dandruff is the overgrowth of a fungus known as malassezia. Malassezia is commonly found on the skin of your scalp, but causes dandruff problems if it is able to grow out of control. Tea tree oil can be used to reduce population of the fungus, resulting in dandruff relief.

Parasitic Skin Infestations
Tea tree oil may also be used as a natural treatment for skin infestations such as lice, scabies and bedbugs, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Tea tree oil is used to kill the parasites, relieving skin irritation from the infestation.

Inflammation
When your skin comes in contact with allergens, your body may respond by activating histamine, which causes the skin to become inflamed. Tea tree oil may be used to reduce this inflammation, but more research is needed to confirm the full benefits of the oil, according to the National Institutes of Health.

Athlete's Foot
Athlete's foot may also benefit from the use of tea tree oil. Athlete's foot is a common fungal-based skin problem that can cause severe itching and burning sensations on the affected area. Tea tree oil works on athlete's foot by killing the fungi associated with the infection.
